How long till kittens open their eyes. Long haired kittens don t see what they are groping at until somewhere around 10 to 14 days old. As they get more acclimated to a world of light from total. So when do kittens open their eyes. Its eyes will start to open and will be completely open at 9 to 14 days old.
If they open to soon then they could go blind. All kittens eyes are blue and will remain so for several weeks. The eyes will stay blue for 2 more weeks. The kittens eyes will gradually become wider after the first week or so of her life.
As you know kittens are born with their eyes closed. They won t all open at the same time. They will open eventually no worries. They usually open when the kittens are between 8 and 14 days old.
Kitten eyes completely open after the first couple weeks. The long haired cats will open their eyes on a much later schedule than a short haired cat. They will continue to open further until somewhere between two and three weeks of age at which point they will be open completely. There is no scientific research to verify why this may be but it appears to run true throughout every breed.

A kitten s ears will also open about this time but her eyes do open first meaning that she will begin to develop first her sense of sight during these first few weeks of life. Short haired kittens will usually open their eyes faster than long haired cats. However they will not open their eyes widely.
About ten to 14 days after birth the kitten will slowly start to open her eyes.
