If they open to soon then they could go blind. All kittens eyes are blue and will remain so for several weeks. The eyes will stay blue for 2 more weeks. The kittens eyes will gradually become wider after the first week or so of her life.

As you know kittens are born with their eyes closed. They won t all open at the same time. They will open eventually no worries. They usually open when the kittens are between 8 and 14 days old.

Kitten eyes completely open after the first couple weeks. The long haired cats will open their eyes on a much later schedule than a short haired cat. They will continue to open further until somewhere between two and three weeks of age at which point they will be open completely. Short haired kittens will usually open their eyes faster than long haired cats. However they will not open their eyes widely.

About ten to 14 days after birth the kitten will slowly start to open her eyes.
